One small corection. Dr. Edsall, my grandfather, had three sons: Jone Tileston Edsall (1902-2002), Richard Linn Edsall (1905-1967) and Geoffrey Edsall (1908-1980), all by his first wife, Margaret Tileston, who died in 1912.
Dr. Edsall remarried ElizabethPendleton Kennedy; they divorced, and he married a third time to Louisa Cabot Richardson.
