Detroit Board of Commerce
September 5, 1912.
Miss Jane Addams,
Bar Harbor,
Maine.
Dear Miss Addams:
I have been absent from the city for a month and on my return find your letter of August 19th. I personally, and I am sure the entire Board of Commerce, will be very glad to hear your views on Equal Suffrage.
I note what you say regarding not bringing partisan politics into your address, which, of course, is necessary before a body composed as our organization is of members of different political faiths.
We shall await your visit October 10th with expectations of much benefit and enjoyment.
Very sincerely yours,
Homer Warren [Signed]
President.
