HULL-HOUSE,
335 SOUTH HALSTED STREET,
CHICAGO.

My dear Mrs Blaine

You were very good to send me such a gorgeous Easter greeting and it has given genuine pleasure to many people.

This season is one of the most impressive ones we have in this neighborhood. The chanting of the Jews [through] all the tenements as they celebrate the Passover. [page 2] The flocks of people going to church [through] the grimy streets, trying to express the spring in their flimsy finery, and the tribute to the Unseen in all the devotion--it always stirs me.

I hope to see you soon and am always affectionately yours Jane Addams
