Biographical Text

James Britton was a Hull-House resident and worker. Britton was Hull-House's physician; he worked with the area's tuberculosis patients. He was also the supervisor of boy's athletics. Britton worked as the medical director of the International Harvester Company and House Physician of the Juvenile Court.

Britton married Gertrude Howe Britton in 1904. They had one child named James. Britton died in 1956.
