My dear Miss North: --

I cannot tell you how pleased I was to get your check for five hundred dollars today for the furnishing of one of the Waukegan cottages. The buildings will cost so much more than we supposed that we do not know which way to turn for the furniture.

It is so very nice of you to say that you have had a happy winter at Hull-House, and I know we have all enjoyed having you here and appreciate very much all the helpful and useful work you have given us.
