Dear Dorothy Detzer

The copy of the notice sent me by Mrs Hull, is as surprising to me as it can be.

I am sure you know that I entirely approve of the present method of collection, and that nothing would induce me to take the money, also that I have opposed any suggestion that the money be collected from Geneva.

I am writing to Mrs. Hull about a letter which I will send out, of which I [enclose] a copy. Of course I will have to have directed envelopes (long ones) sent to me here.

Hastily yrs Jane Addams.
