WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM

November 23, 1926.

My dear [Anne] Martin,

Miss Ella Boynton, as you know, is National Chairman of "Organization." I have just telephoned her about the confusion in Colorado. She agrees that Miss [Christy] should be withdrawn from Colorado as you have already started matters there so well. Of course there will not be any more confusion when you are once started on the Pacific Slope.

Miss Boynton has absolutely no pride of office, but apparently Mrs. Hull and others forgot to mention that she was Chairman of the Organization Committee. If you can send her duplicate copies of reports that you send to Washington or send her a report to read on its way to Washington I am sure that is all that could possibly be desired.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you are going into it. I am sending more of the circulars. Dorothy Detzer had some similar ones which I will ask her to send you.

Always affectionately yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

Miss [Anne] Martin,
The Chinquapins,
Mission Street at Eleventh
Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
