Your letter in regard to the Lauterbach Will was received when I was in Detroit.
While the attorney's fees seem rather large in comparison to the size of the estate I realize the many difficulties involved and that you are doubtless in a better position than I to judge. I should be very glad, as far as I am legally competent, to give my consent that you deduct $2000.00 from the amount you have in hand the same to be on account of your services. I should very much prefer that you retain the balance in your possession until after the Annual Meeting of the United States Section of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom which meets in Washington May 3rd, 4th and 5th. The matter will be discussed in the Executive Sessions there and we will inform you directly.
