Dear Miss Addams,
It seems to me that many years have [passed] since I last saw you. I am so homesick and so in need of inspiration. You will be at our annual meeting, will you not?
The enclosed checks are the balance due on the $295.50 raised by [Madeleine] Doty in St. Louis. She took $173.50 with her and I enclose 14 checks something to $122.00.
I cannot begin to tell you how much St. Louis enjoyed M. Doty. She seems to be growing finer and bigger and more tolerant. Every one was impressed [page 2] with her. We need more, much more of the same kind of International emphasis put into our work, it seems to me.
I hope all is well with you and Miss Mary Smith.
A great deal of love to you from the Taussig family.
Devotedly
Florence G Taussig.
P.S. Miss Addams, I found one check for $5.00 had not been enclosed. I will send that later.
Would it be practicable to have Edith Pye and Madame Drevet speak in St. Louis? How much would it cost and about what date would they come?
