Dearest J. A.
I shall be enchanted to come if we can only agree on a time. So far as I can now tell, I could leave here Friday late afternoon, January 13th, for Chicago, and leave Chicago Friday, January 20th, for New York -- having, according to my calculations, five full days and six nights in Chicago.
If it were convenient for you and Mary, I would rather spend them in Walton Place with interludes at H. H.
When will you be going South?
If this is not convenient, I could leave New York on Saturday, January 28th, with a better allotment of days, i.e. leaving Chicago Saturday afternoon, February 4th.
