My dear Mrs Hull
Only today did we discover your card attached firmly to the box of figs.
I suspected you from the first but was not sure enough to write. Please don't think me too remiss!
We have had a very good Xmas season and [although] it leaves me a little limp it is after all a blessed time.
I am so sorry that I can't be in Boston and ↑I do hope↓ that [Madeleine] Dotys plans won't prove to be upsetting. The date of the Honolulu Conference is at last settled & I hope to get out a little literature at once. Always devotedly yours Jane Addams
