WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM

International Secretary: Madeleine Z. Doty
12, Rue du Vieux-Collège, Geneva, Switzerland

July 2, 1927.

Dear Executive Member,

This is to let you know that I am planning to take a two weeks' vacation the first of July. As you know the secretary is allowed a month every year and so far I have only had about five weeks at odd times and my two years will be up November 1st. The doctor has said that I cannot go on until November without a vacation. The first week of my vacation the doctor has decreed that I shall not receive or answer any letters. The second week I will be able at least to attend to the correspondence from the Executive. I shall not be far from Geneva, both within telephone and telegraph communication from the office so that I can be reached in case of need and I expect to be back on the 18th of July. I have arranged for the office to carry on work while I am away and all the regular matters can be attended to in my absence. I am writing this little note only so that you may know the position during these two weeks and not expect too much of Headquarters at this time.

Very sincerely yours,

Madeline Z. Doty [signed]
International Headquarters.
