My dear Miss Coolidge

Thank you so much for your letter, I hope the situation will straighten out and that you will let me do what I can for Miss Dewar.

The little difference between the two set of people in Oxford and East London may explain what I have long felt -- the existence of some difficulty -- Mr Nunn [page 2] was the first Toynbee man I ever met, and while I do not know him now as well as I know Mr Ward, I am sure he would "take notice" of a letter I could give the man holding the fellowship.

Hoping to have the pleasure of seeing you in September, I am devotedly yours

Jane Addams
