I send you by newspaper post a copy of the "Daily Mail" because I thought you might show it to others, to indicate what I know is the fact, that English people warmly appreciate the Americans, and are only too delighted for an opportunity to show their emotions.
It is not only the sporting people who have [recognized] the fine qualities of this young man, but it has been a genuine wish to evince admiration.
This is simply a note and requires no reply, but I do not think a day goes by without my trying in some ↑small↓ way to bring our great nations into closer relationship.
