Dear Miss Sears,

We are so delighted to know of the dinner to Miss Addams on January 20 and so glad to add our message to the hundreds that you must be receiving. It was a very happy thought and we congratulate those who conceived the plan and who are carrying it through. We send the following:

"The Board of Directors of the Community Church of Boston send to Miss Addams their deep appreciation of her service to humanity, their reverence for her devoted spirit and their affectionate best wishes for many years of usefulness to come."

Very sincerely yours,

Gertrude L. Winslow [signed]
