Miss Lucy L. Woodsworth
76 Chestnut Street
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

My dear Miss Woodsworth:

I believe Miss Addams has answered your letter of April 1st personally, but she has asked me to write to you also.

I have noticed that you have organized a Women's Peace-Study Group and I am sure that Miss Addams hoped that that might turn into a real W.I.L. I am sending you a half a dozen copies of a little outline history of the W.I.L., prepared by Miss Balch, which you might be interested in handing around, for I think that it may help in getting that group to become members of the League.

Miss Addams suggested that I tell you that though she will not be in Canada this year, that Miss Balch is going to Toronto, for the World Federation of Teachers' Meeting. Anne Martin, who is now Director of the Pacific Slope States, may go to North Dakota in a few months to organize that state for the W.I.L. If she did, it might be possible for her to make a trip over to Winnipeg.

If there is anything I can do to [cooperate] more closely with you, do let me know.

Faithfully yours,

Dorothy Detzer
Executive Secretary.
