WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM
February 19, 1927.
My dear Dorothy Detzer,
I am sending you this for your archives. New Orleans evidently is coming up very well. I did not mean to be fussy about the use of the President's letter. I think it could be put in our defense if it were quoted from in the newspapers but I think it would be unfair to use it directly as propaganda. It is one of those things that was prepared for a special occasion and cannot be taken too seriously.
We hear fine reports of your meetings in Boston!
With congratulations, I am
Devotedly yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
