Sofia, le Mar 14th 1927
To Miss Jane Addams.
The Bulgarian Section of the International Women League for Peace and Freedom at the meeting of its first conference in Sofia greets with enthusiasm its president Miss Jane Addams, who, when the war was at its height [traveled] over the blockaded and mined seas and ocean at great personal risk in order to reach the nations in bloody strife and to suggest to them the necessity of peace.
Our section wishes success and long life to the noble Jane Addams and is happy to inform her, that the small Society of Sofia for Lasting Peace has developed into a great Union with branches in most of the [centers] in Bulgaria. In these branches enter as members also the refugee women from Macedonia, [Greece] and [Dobruja] who long for peace.
The executive body of the Section desires to add its appeal to the League of [Nations] and to the Women International League for Peace and Freedom and bespeaks the interest and sympathy of Miss Jane Addams for our suffering and prays for her influence in our behalf.
The President C. P. Karaveloff
