Mary Charles Walker Dallam was my great grandmother---my maternal grandfather's mother. She was born in Virginia, most likely Alexandria or Winchester. She left Charles Dallam and ran off with the parish priest, Robert N. Ward, and they settled in Laurel, Miss. Rev. Ward adopted my grandfather, who became Charles E. Ward. What is Mary's connection to this site?
Sorry for the delay in responding. We have a letter written by Mary Dallam to Jane Addams in 1912. We had not published it to the site because we had not been able to locate Mary Dallam's death date to see whether or not her unpublished writings are in the public domain. Do you have a death date?
