Dear Miss Addams:

Upon my return to Chicago I find your letter of the 10th inst. and hasten to send you check for one hundred dollars to the order of Hull House.

I was so sorry to miss you at dinner the other evening and do hope you have entirely recovered from the cold. I suffer a great deal from that malady.

We had quite a lively evening and I enjoyed it intensely.

I have just returned from Boston where I had one of the greatest interviews of my life with Prof. Gilbert Murray. I am sure you will be interested to know how closely together an official representative of the League, like Prof. Murray, and myself, who have fought the League for so many years, could come in discussing genuine peace. You will find an article by Prof. Murray in the forthcoming Christian Century.

Sincerely yours,

Miss Jane Addams
