Representatives of the thirty thousand members of the Young Men's Christian Association of Chicago, assembled at our annual meeting tonight, by unanimous vote desire you to give our most cordial greeting to Miss Jane Addams, on the occasion of this Civic Dinner in her honor.
We would like to add our tribute of appreciation for the inspiring life of service for humanity shown by Chicago's world citizen, Miss Addams. We also desire to express the hope that she may be spared for many more years of civic leadership.
