Mr. Clifford W. Beers, Secretary Pro Tem,
National Committee for Mental Hygiene.
39 Church Street, New Haven, Conn.
My dear Mr. Beers:
I have looked over with much interest the plan for work of the National Committee for Mental Hygiene.
As far as I know, the Committee constitutes the only group of people who are intelligently considering the prevention of insanity and the amelioration of the condition of the insane. We have had many cases come to Hull-House which we were most happy to refer to the Illinois branch of the Society, and I can imagine nothing more valuable to any community than the carrying out of your well considered plans.
With all good wishes for their success, I am,
Sincerely yours,
(Signed) Jane Addams.
