Dearest Lady

Thank you so much for your birthday telegram. I do hope it won't upset any plans if I change the date of my visit and also stay longer!

I am attending a meeting of the Ex. Com. of the Nat. Conference of Social Work in New York on Sept 18". May I come up in the evening after that is over or sometime [page 2] the next day -- Saturday Sept 19" -- and stay until the meeting of the Ex. Com. of the Nat. Settlements on Monday morning Sept 21st?

I want so much to see you but not to [burden] you and if the week end is too much of course you will let me know and I will cut it down to a call.

I am staying on here until Sept 14".
