My dear Mrs. Catt:
I thank you very much for your kind letter which you sent to me through Dr. Jacobs. I think we had the facts before but I am very glad to have them put together in this orderly way.
As nearly as I can find out, the McLeod resolution was merely introduced and will probably never go through. The entire situation has obviously come to a showdown, has it not? Dr. Jacobs I am sure will tell you much more about it when you see her.
We have enjoyed having her here so very much and are very regretful that she is leaving today.
