Dear

The prevention of war is the task of this generation; everything else depends on it. If women put their shoulder to the wheel now, there is no reason why war shall not be as obsolete as slavery when our boys are grown up.

It is a question of education whether we have before us "hell on earth" or an orderly friendly world which has outlawed war and which regularly settles its differences by arbitration and other orderly processes.

The view of those who believe in war as the way to justice, security or material power is presented in almost every issue of every newspaper.

Help us to present the other side with its overwhelming appeal.

Our great International Congress last year, followed as it was by our Summer School in Chicago, has opened up new avenues to us. Never in the world before were people so ready to learn how peace can be won and to help to win it.

We need considerable sums at once in order to begin this year's campaign with energy and effectiveness. Help us not to lose time.

Please make checks payable to Florence G. Taussig, National Treasurer, 1403 H St, N.W., Washington D.C.

Faithfully,

Hannah Clothier Hull [signed]
National Chairman.
