Dear Lady

Your letter written on the [Yangtze] River came today, so there is only time for a letter to New York. Mary is very much better but we are nevertheless going to Bethel Maine for July and August reaching there about the seventh.

I call myself quite restored, enjoyed St. Louis very much and have promised to loaf for [page 2] the summer. However all this and much more I will tell you when I come to New York on June twenty-third or fourth.

It will be delightful to see you again and I do hope Miss Waters is much better.

Always, devotedly yours

Jane Addams.
