I am sending you enclosed a copy of a letter which Rufus M. Jones sent to Herbert Hoover on January 2nd; copy of a night letter which the Committee sent down on January 4th; copy of Mr. Hoover's reply written on January 6th; copy of a letter which the Committee sent to Mr. Hoover on January 9th; and a copy of a telegram which was sent by Mr. Hoover to a Chamber of Commerce. The letter enclosing this telegram was written on January 4th, so that evidently Mr. Hoover sent it on January 3rd.
