The enclosed excerpt was not found. Addams likely meant Henry Baird Favill's 1911 speech "Child Labor as Related to the Stage," the last sentence of which is: "The whole movement is without the slightest justification from the standpoint of the welfare of the child, and this fact alone should be enough to stigmatize the effort to create an industry for children upon the stage, as a social abomination."
