I cannot tell you how much I regret that it will be impossible for me to go to New York. I am so tied up with engagements that I cannot possibly get away for the date of the meeting.

Mr. Post and other of Mr. Crosby's friends are arranging for a little memorial meeting at Hull-House. He has many friends in Chicago, and I need not tell you how keenly we feel his loss.
