Dear Miss Addams,

I have just had a cable from Gilbert Murray saying that he will reduce the "Trojan Women" royalty to five [percent], that five [percent] to be paid to the American Belgian Relief Fund, or any other Fund agreed on by you and him. This seems to me a very generous and friendly arrangement.

Very many thanks for your letter; I am most grateful for it.

Yours sincerely,

Maurice Browne [signed]

<My heartiest congratulations on your election as Chairman of The Hague Congress. It's splendid. Good luck to you & what we're working for.
