Progressive Era Project
In an effort to encourage more exploration of the Progressive Era, the Jane Addams Papers Project has created a project that allows students to act like real historians. In the "Progressive Era Historical Convention," students will research primary sources and people from the Progressive Era, to discover the often overlooked activism of this time period. Students will conduct their own research and present their findings to their classmates, putting the power in their own hands.
Students are encouraged to explore the topics of:
- Education Reform
- Woman's Suffrage
- Labor Reform
- Election of 1912
- Immigration
