My dear Miss Addams:

I hope you will like this little picture. I also bring my little papers on 'Sketching from Nature' 'Dante & St. Francis of Assisi' & Mr. Mansbridge's short account of my Brother Arnold. The profile portrait of him is the one used by Boehm the sculptor for the medallion in Balliol College. I am so glad to have heard you last night. I [liked?] [page 2] all you said & the way you said it. There was a calm spiritual strength about you as from one who hears the <"a> deeper voice across the storm."

It is an inspiration to think of you & your work & I am so grateful to have met you again.

Yours very sincerely

Gertrude Toynbee
