My dear Miss Fitts

May I thank you for the generous check of twenty five dollars which Miss Hazard sent and also express my sympathy for you in your sorrow.

You must indeed be grateful that you had not yet sailed and that you were there to comfort your father. If at any time it would seem a help to come to be at Hull-House, I am sure you know that we can always make room for you and that there is nothing that we would rather do. I will be at Dublin for a month this summer, perhaps I will see you during that time.
