My dear Marcet.

I must surely see you and the children this week lest you be back in Kansas when I come home the middle of September.

I will have to be in Washington for a "celebration" Tuesday July 4". I ought to be in Chicago Thursday noon and I was planning to leave on Saturday noon July 8". Wednesday seems to be my day for coming out unless you really want to bring the children in. It is a pretty hot journey for a short stay, & we have one case (mild) of mumps in the house, so that on the whole I think that the mountain would better do the moving. [page 2] Louise's wedding was charming. I wish you might have been there.

Will you telegraph or telephone me your decision, about the journey to Chicago or to Cedarville? Any day will be fine for me to have you here excepting Tuesday the 4th and we have plenty of room at H.H. just now.

Always devotedly yours

Jane Addams
