Dear Miss Addams

I was especially sorry not to hear you paper at the American Hospital Association Sept 18" as it is a topic on which I am especially interested. I shall be at the Illinois State Charities Conference at Jacksonville Oct 9th & possibly may find you there. Either there or in Chicago (where I go on the 11th) I want very much the opportunity of a talk with you on some of the medical-social & social-medical problem that I am laboring with.

I have long been a follower & admirer of your work & was especially impressed with your "Newer Ideals of Peace" – as to which [page 2] I am in hearty agreement with the Collier's editorial which I hope you noticed some months ago.

I venture to send you by this mail two pamphlets which may serve to show you why I am asking the favor of some talk with you.

Yours sincerely

Richard C Cabot
