Biographical Text

Donatello was an Early Renaissance sculptor. He worked with Lorenzo Ghiberti and Michelozzo, building many statues for churches. Donatello worked in Florence, Rome, Padua, and Siena. Some of his most notable works include David, which was commissioned by Cosimo de' Medici, St. Mark, The Feast of Harod, and Madonna of the Clouds.

Donatello died in 1466.
