January 3, 1918.

My dear Mrs. Leach:

I am writing to tell you with what very great pleasure Miss Addams received your letter, inviting the Board to meet with you. She wishes me to express to you her sincere thanks for this invitation, which we are most delighted to accept.

I am enclosing a copy of a letter which has been sent to the members of the Board, announcing the meeting, and will let you know as soon as I have any definite information as to who will be present. I wish I myself might come to New York at this time but I am quite sure this is not possible.

Miss Addams expects to speak in New York on Sunday, at the invitation of Dr. Moskowitz, before the National Conference on Tuberculosis. She also attends on Friday the dinner given by Dr. Lynch for the American Branch of the Central Organization for a Durable Peace. She is planning a full program for herself during the few days she is in New York, but she seems very well indeed.

With best wishes for the New Year, I am

Very sincerely yours,

Executive Secretary.

Mrs. Henry G. Leach,

New York City.
