My dear Alice

Esther little daughter has come and the mother and baby are said to be in fine condition.  Esther evidently has a very "easy time" seems to have had a very short labor and to be strong and well afterward.  Laura goes down tonight for ten days, she and Sarah will spend Xmas at Rockford meeting there on the 23d or 24th.  We don't know the name of the new little girl, but she weighs seven pounds. Please let me know Marcet's plans.  I can easily meet her in Chicago.  Yrs J.A.
