Secretary to Jane Addams to Florence Wilkinson Evans, March 24, 1915

March 24, 1915.

My dear Mrs. Evans: --

Miss Addams has been out of town in connection with the death of her sister, and we have been sparing her as much as possible from being involved in the work of the Woman's Peace Party.

Your letter to her enclosing the poems was referred to me for answer. I have read your verses with a great deal of pleasure, and according to our regulation in this matter, have turned them over to the committee on art productions. You will undoubtedly hear from them soon.

I am glad of the chance to have a little personal word with you again, as I remember you so well when you were here at the University, and at the Settlement.

Sincerely yours,

Mrs. Florence Wilkinson Evans,
52 Kenyon Street,
Hartford, Connecticut.
