Miss Jane Addams, who presided over the meeting, called for a statement from the side of the Restaurant Keepers' Association or of Henrici's, but no one arose, although Willard M. McEwen, attorney for Mr. Collins, attended the meeting.
"Private detectives play a large part in the difficulties between employers and [employees]," Miss Addams said. "It is as true here as it is in the big coal strikes. The private detective seems to play the larger part in all the disturbances."
