Dear Miss Addams: --

Mrs. Newton and I are very glad to [note] in your letter that you are a delegate to the Progressive convention. If you haven't a right to be there who has? I hope to have a chance to work for you for public office [someday] -- soon.

Tell the ladies that when they hold another Roosevelt mass meeting <they are supposed> to boost Roosevelt not Taft, La Follette and others some of the speakers actually "knocked" Roosevelt at the Roosevelt suffrage meeting <held> during the Republican convention.

Wishing you success I am
Sincerely yours

H. C. Newton
