Fellow Citizens!
Danger looms! Irresponsible elements want civil war! The "marches" of armed irregular formations are currently prohibited only in Vienna and Lower Austria, and even there only until September 15th. Shall we then once again face every Sunday with trepidation?
The danger to peace comes from only a few; the people themselves absolutely want internal peace. Representatives of workers, employees, farmers, women, and others have expressed this publicly.
Whoever does not want civil war, does not want the death of innocent people, and stands for the undisturbed development of industry, trade, and commerce; whoever does not want our foreign friends to avoid Austria, and whoever wants Austria not to lose its credit abroad—let them join our action:
We demand: A permanent ban on military marches of irregular formations throughout Austria. The dissolution of all illegal so-called "Self-Defense" associations (Selbstschutz-Vereinigungen). Complete internal disarmament. The factual and peaceful mediation of all disputed issues.
Every single name is important as a testimony of agreement. Reports for voluntary cooperation and declarations of consent should be sent to: A. G. ö. F., Wien VIII, Schlösselgasse 13/14.
