The «Children's Country Home» is situated at Macolin
3000 ft an is reached by a funicular railway from Bienne, the little town on the lake of that name, which is only 10 hours journey from London via Belfort and Delémont.
The house is beautifully situated on the sloped of the Jura and has the sun from morning till night, Covered as it is with extensive pine forests, the Jura is specially reowned for the health giving properties of the air.
Children of all ages and every nationality are received, but preference is given to those under twelve.
Education: Kindergarten on Montessori lines. Gardening, carpentry and other handcrafts.
Older children can attend the State schools in Bienne and will receive special coaching in French, German and, if desired, piano No extra charge is made for this,
The life is that of a family rather than a school, free, and as much in the open air as possible.
The diet is vegetarian, milk, butter and fruit in abundance. There is a doctor children's Specilaist in the neighborhood.
Terms: £ 80 --- £ 120 inclusive according to age, for the year of 42 weeks.
