Dear Miss Addams:
I am afraid you have misunderstood Miss Lucas' letter. The fifty cent edition of TWENTY YEARS AT HULL HOUSE is a reprint edition which we have not carried for some little time. The Pocket Classic is a the edition brought out by our Educational Department -- Macmillan's Pocket Classic Series. It is not a new series. We have had an arrangement with you for many years covering the Pocket Classics. The series for which I made the arrangement with you is the Modern Readers' Series edition. That has not as yet been published. You are quite right that you are to receive $250.00 upon the publication of TWENTY YEARS AT HULL HOUSE in the Modern Readers' Series. That probably will not be out, however, before next Fall. If you do not find the Macmillan Pocket Classic edition which we have sent you is the edition that you want, you may return the copies of course.
