My dear Miss Addams,

Thank you very much for your kind letter, and also for the very interesting enclosures from Mrs. Grover [Clark].

It is splendid to think that the "mission" is going to [materialize] after all in spite of difficulties and doubts. I confess I had abandoned all hopes of it at present.

It seems to me one [page 2] of the biggest enterprises the W.I.L. has made, and I hope for much many international results from contacts with Eastern women.

Our delegation is admirable in personnel. Mme. Drevet and Edith Pye will complement each other beautifully. Do you know the latter? I carried away such a happy impression of her after a weekend spent with her. [page 3]

I was sorry I could not attend the September meeting of the W.I.L. Committee. They got through a very formidable agenda. It is good to know that Madeleine Doty will carry on "Pax" and remain at the Maison. No one else could do just what she does to make the Maison a [center] of attraction for a varied crowd of visitors.

Believe me,

Very sincerely yours

Louie Bennett.
