Dear Miss Addams --

I have several pages of notes covering your Sunday morning address, but my transcription would, I am sure, be to the delight of your words what a phonographic transcription of the Boston symphony Orchestra is to the original. Won't you write a statement about the need of studying the action & interaction of races & groups upon each other. It would be very pleasant [page 2] if we might have a statement from your pen for the first bulletin which ought to be issued about the middle of October.

I should be very grateful for any suggestions that you may care to offer on ways & means of increasing interest in Chicago & the Middle West, in the work & support of the Federation.

It is very important also, I am sure, that the Executive Committee meet early in the fall. The group ought to meet for two days, at a country house & take up questions of housing & interracial relations & think them through. Please let me know when you are to be East so that I can communicate with others.

Very sincerely yours
Albert J. Kennedy
