Miss Jane [Addams],

Chicago, Illinois.

Dear Miss [Addams],

Due to the energetic work done by Miss Rankin while in Lincoln, we are making a fairly good organization here. We are arranging for peace meetings in connection with all the larger organized groups, both men and women, for the next year and trying to get as many in before November 11th as possible.

We now want to know if you feel that you will be able to make a short tour in Nebraska some time next fall, preferably reach Lincoln and Omaha around Armistice Day. If so, kindly state terms, etc., so that it may be put before our committee.

I am writing Miss Rankin to organize work throughout the state, about which she will probably communicate with you.

It seems like old times to be doing work under and with you, which is always a pleasure.

Yours truly,
E.M Barkely [signed]
