My dear Miss Addams

Thank you very much for your kind letter.

I am still in hospital but am now very much better & hope soon to go Home to Cheltenham.

It would be very kind of you to bring our Settlement needs to the notice of the Rockefeller Foundation.

Though I see little immediate prospect of myself being able to visit the States; I hear that our friend, Miss Susie Sorabji, of Poona may be there & I shall ask her to try to see you. She has done great work educationally for Western India & has known our Settlement since the start in 1896. [page 2]

We have just lost our former warden, Miss Mary [Dobson], the daughter [Amelia Dobson] & herself a charming poetess & composer, she will be greatly mourned in India where her gifts were widely appreciated.

Miss Moinet joins me in kind regards to yourself & Miss Smith.

Believe me

Sincerely yours

Evelyn C. Gedge.
