Very many thanks for your letter, I leave here for Chile on March 2 -- sail from Valparaiso by the Santa Luisa on March 29. I am uncertain at present whether I shall go straight to Chicago or not; if I do, I shall arrive towards the end of April. But I will telegraph when I disembark. I am looking forward very much to see you.
