Dear Miss Addams:

Mr. Villard turned over to me the little article on the situation in Upper Silesia. I am not sure that we shall be able to use it. As you doubtless noticed, it is not very smoothly worded, and we have on hand other material on the same subject. But in any case we are very glad to have such direct testimony, and there is certainly no reason to doubt the author's conclusions.
